File Formatting Instructions for Macromedia Freehand (PC or Mac)
We accept all Freehand files up to Studio MX
Set your page size to the final trim size and include a 0.125" bleed if you have bleeds
Set the printer resolution to 2540
Make sure that all graphics are embedded. For all images that you embed into the file, please ensure that you only place TIFF or EPS formats with no compression. (TIFF uses LZW compression, and EPS uses JPEG compression). Using compression will distort the images when placed into Freehand
Be sure to convert all colors to CMYK in the colors window
Convert all type and fonts to paths in the text menu
Do not do trapping
If you have a large black area, set the color for the black as follows: C=40%, M=40%, Y=20%, K=100%
Please save as a Freehand EPS (TIFF version). This will lock all paths and images into position
